Knee socks are a fashion staple, but they're hard to keep up. To alleviate this problem, we've found 4 of the most popular tricks to get them stay up!
1) Wear knee-highs with control top pantyhose or jeans that have a waistband high enough to hold them in place. This trick is especially effective if you're still growing.
2) Slip on a skirt or dress instead of pants if your socks will be more likely to slip down when sitting at your desk.
3) Use safety pins on either side of the sock as an anchor point for each leg so the fabric stays put against your skin and doesn't slide around as much. Safety pins are very inconspicuous when camouflaged in the sock
4) For loose socks, put two waist-highs together to form a tube with one leg on each side. This method creates an overlap for your foot in the center of the tube that will keep it in place. This is especially useful if you fold or scrunch down your socks when wearing them.
The sizing of the sock can also be a reason to why your knee high socks aren't playing ball. Many retailers size them incorrectly which may lead to this, so why not try out over knee socks for the perfect fitting pair?
